This 2 Days Traditional Climbing Course, would suit anyone who has tried traditional rock climbing before, and wants to progress towards being self-sufficient. The beautiful Lake Como area, provides the perfect weather and environment to learn the essential skills of rock climbing, so expect to do a lot of climbing over the two days!
Our Training Center has an easy access to some of the best rock climbing in Italy and our experienced instructors can always find the right location, and level of challenge for you.
Course Outcomes
- Develop movement skills to lead climbs
- Develop a thorough knowledge of suitable equipment for lead climbing and learn to manage it while climbing
- Skills for efficient gear placing and removal – where and how to use climbing protection including nuts, cams, hexes, and slings
- Efficient rope management and belaying on lead climbs
- Safe use of equipment, evaluating the condition of equipment and how to ensure appropriate care and maintenance
- Practical advice on purchasing equipment and advising on your next steps
- Plenty of climbing!
