Saturday

Meeting post 5:30 in Lecco or 8:30 in Sedrun

5:30 departure from Lecco

around 8:30 arrival in Sedrun (we can also meet in Sedrun)

Transport with a private cable car to 1365m ASL

We will change to another private cable car (for our use only), it will take us on 1913m ASL from where we will go, wearing skis, to Stavel Sisum at an altitude of 2183m ASL

From there, following the edge of the ridge we will climb on Piz Maler 2790m ASL.

We will descent on the northern side between steep slopes and a breathtaking glimpse of the Oberalp Pass, with always fresh snow, down  to the village of Rueras at an altitude of 1400m.

We will arrive in the late afternoon at the Mountain Lodge of Sedrun, where Serena and Michele will host us in their beautiful hotel with half board accommodation and Italian cuisine!

Sunday

Transfer by car to Disentis 1197m ASL, where we will take the first cable car at 8:30, followed with ski lifts to an altitude of 2839m ASL.

Wearing skins we will reach an altitude of 2890m ASL where, with a subsequent short via ferrata, we will arrive on the northern slope with the view of the majestic Brunnifirn Glacier, the destination of a beautiful and steep descent down to an altitude of 2750m ASL.

Here we will go on the glacier following all safety requirements.

Re-tightening the skins from an altitude of 2750m ASL, we will arrive at the Oberalpstock at an altitude of 3170m ASL.

From an altitude of 3170m the fabulous northern descent starts within the steep slopes of the Staldenfirn Glacier under the foothills of Gemsplanggenstockli and subsequently Schwarzstockli.

Here wide slopes will allow each of us to make their own track in fresh snow and have fun like never before!

Steep slopes will then take us to an altitude of about 1700m ASL where with a short descent we reach the lateral slopes of the Staldental down to the small Stossi pasture at an altitude of 1185m ASL.

From here a wide skiable road leads us depending on the snow to the meeting point with the taxi at an altitude of approximately 834m ASL.

After this fantastic descent of almost 2400m, the taxi takes us comfortably back to the Andrematt train station, where we will pass by the Oberalppass by train, and return to the cars in Disentis, in the late afternoon.
