The course is an ideal starting point for those with little or no prior experience of rock climbing.
All the basics on this fun and action-packed 1 day of outdoor rock climbing the beautiful Lake Como area. No more excuses, it’s time to get out there.
Our Training Center has an easy access to some of the best rock climbing in Italy and our experienced instructors can always find the right location, and level of challenge for you.
Course Outcomes
- Understand what equipment is necessary and how to use it correctly
- Learn, practise, and develop climbing movement skills on real rock
- Safely fit a harness and tie it into a rope
- Belay and lower effectively and safely
- Experience abseiling
- Basic self-rescue, emergency procedures and safety kit methods
- Use a guidebook to select an appropriate climb to suit your ability and ambitions
- Safe use of equipment, evaluating the condition of equipment and how to ensure appropriate care and maintenance
- Practical advice on purchasing equipment and advising on your next steps
- Plenty of climbing!
